Community Advisory Boards

Background
The Board of Supervisors receives valuable input from numerous volunteer citizen advisory boards or commissions on a range of issues. Some members are appointed by individual supervisors to represent their district. Others are at-large.

See this webpage for background information on all advisory boards, committees and commissions. (Scroll down for useful links.)

A full list of these boards is available here, a section of the County's website called the Maddy Book.

This includes the Municipal Advisory Councils (MACS) which are appointed by the supervisors to provide input on unincorporated communities. In Supervisor Gioia's District this includes:

  • The El Sobrante Municipal Advisory Council (ESMAC)
  • The North Richmond Municipal Advisory Council (NRMAC)
  • The Kensington Municipal Advisory Council (KMAC)
Members on these committees are volunteers, appointed by the supervisor. For more information click on the links in the left column or above.

For information on applying for any advisory board call (510-231-8686) or contact Supervisor Gioia's office.
