Airport Tour Program

The Airport Tour Program provides a unique opportunity for the public to learn about Buchanan Field Airport and the benefits it offers to the community.  Since January of 2009, over 1100 children have participated in the Airport tour.  Groups of all ages are encouraged to schedule a tour.

Airport Tour Program Donations

33% of those served at emergency food programs are children; some of which are the same children that enjoy our tour.

While the Airport Tour Program is free to participants, Airports staff invites you to donate money or nonperishable food items, which we will accept and deliver to the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano on the day of your tour.

Your donations help us fight hunger so we can provide more than just an excellent tour experience to the children in our community. Thank you!

Schedule a Tour

Due to the popularity of the Airport Tour Program, we have limited the number of tours to one per day and two per week. Tours are scheduled between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM Tuesday through Thursday and are approximately one hour in length.

We can accommodate groups of up to 20 children (ages 4 and up) and 7 adults, with no fewer than 5 in a group.  Please schedule your tour two weeks in advance so we can do our best to accommodate your group.
