BIO: Robert Campbell

Robert Campbell has over 30 years of experience with Contra Costa County in the Office of the Auditor-Controller. Robert has served as the elected Auditor-Controller since January 2011. Robert carries out his duties as an elected official with integrity and commitment to excellence for the citizens of Contra Costa County.

Robert received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the California State University, Hayward.

Robert's passion for the statutes and legal codes that govern public sector financial accounting and reporting enabled him to serve on numerous committees for the State Association of Auditor Controllers. Robert is recognized as a leader and expert in the field of public sector finance and received an appointment by the State Controller as the County Auditors' Association representative to the California Uniform Construction Cost Accounting Commission in 2011, and an appointment by the State Treasurer as a member of the State Task Force on Bond Accountability in 2015. Mr. Campbell also is a member of the Government Finance Officers' Association and the Association of Government Accountants.
