Racial Justice Task Force

Creation of the 17- member Racial Justice Task Force was unanimously approved by the Board of Supervisors on April 12, 2016. The mandate of the Task Force is as follows:

1. Research and identify consensus measures within the County to reduce racial disparities in the criminal justice system;

2. Plan and oversee implementation of the measures once identified; and

3. Report back to the Board of Supervisors on progress made toward reducing
racial disparities within the criminal justice system.

We welcome your input into the process.  Submit your comments to the Racial Justice Task Force here.

Community Forums

During the month of November 2017, the Racial Justice Task Force will be holding community forums in each of the five Board of Supervisor's districts.  These forums will provide the public with an opportunity to learn about the work being done by the Task Force, and provide feedback directly to Task Force Members.
