C.2      ADOPT Resolution No. 2006/416 approving and authorizing the Public Works Director, or designee, to fully close a portion of California Street on July 13 through November 30, 2006, 24 hours per day, for the purpose of reconstructing the California Street overpass for the Interstate 80 widening project, as recommended by the Public Works Director, Rodeo area. C.37    APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Contra Costa County Librarian, or designee, to execute a contract to accept grant funds in the amount of $9,651 from the California State Library LSTA Public Library Staff Education Program to provide opportunities for staff to pursue Master’s Degrees in Library Science, for the period ending June 30, 2007.  (No County match)  (All Districts)

 

C.38       AUTHORIZE the Deputy Director-Redevelopment to prepare and submit the necessary applications and certifications to the California Debt Limit Allocation Committee to obtain $6,933,497 in private activity bond authority for Mortgage Credit Certificates.  (100% Participant fees) (All Districts)

 

C.39       APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Interim Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute a contract with the State of California, Department of Aging, to pay the County an amount not to exceed $738,408 for Fiscal Year 2006/2007 for case management and social services for seniors. C.40       APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Community Services Director, or designee, to apply for and accept funding from the American Dental Association in an amount not to exceed $5,000 for an oral health access to care initiative for the period January 1, through March 31, 2007. C.41    APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute a contract with the Siskyou Hospital (dba Fairchild Medical Center) to pay the County a minimum amount of $50,160 for Contra Costa Health Plan to provide Advice Nurse services to Fairchild Medical Center health plan members, for the period June 1, 2006 through May 31, 2007. C.42    APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Community Development Director, or designee, to execute a contract with the County Redevelopment Agency to pay the County an amount not to exceed $35,000 for transportation planning advice and assistance for the period July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2007.  (No County match) (All Districts) (Consider with C.116)

GENERAL INFORMATION 

 

The Board meets in all its capacities pursuant to Ordinance Code Section 24-2.402, including as the Housing Authority and the Redevelopment Agency.  Persons who wish to address the Board should complete the form provided for that purpose and furnish a copy of any written statement to the Clerk.

 

All matters listed under CONSENT ITEMS are considered by the Board to be routine and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless requested by a member of the Board or a member of the public prior to the time the Board votes on the motion to adopt.

 

Persons who wish to speak on matters set for PUBLIC HEARINGS will be heard when the Chair calls for comments from those persons who are in support thereof or in opposition thereto.  After persons have spoken, the hearing is closed and the matter is subject to discussion and action by the Board.
