On October 28 a pipe broke on the top floor of the County Finance Building sending water throughout all of its north east section. Unfortunately, significant damage was done to office furniture and equipment. Consequently, affected staff have had to relocate to other parts of the building while clean up and repair are being done. It is estimated three to six months before they may be able to return to their regular working areas. In the meantime, operations have had to be temporarily consolidated which affects normal workflow. Cashier has been moved to the Information Counter to share limited space with other services. Our employees are doing their very best to deal with the situation and continue to wait on the public in the most efficient and courteous manner as possible. Nevertheless, your wait in line may take longer than you plan. Please consider paying taxes on line or mailing in your payment.
