The Current Planning Section is committed to serving the public regarding regulation of land use and development in accordance with County policy and
applicable laws.
Current Planning Resources & Services:
The Current and Advance Planning Sections serve as staff to
the Board of Supervisors on land use matters, the County Planning Commissions,
Transportation, Water & Infrastructure Committee, Hazardous Materials Commission, etc. on all land-use issues and conduct Zoning Administration
hearings. Specific duties within Current Planning include:
 | Amending Ordinance Code; |
| Reviewing and preparing various types of applications (Variance,
Land Use Permit, Development Plans, Rezoning, Planned Construction Development); |
| Executing Development Agreements; |
| Implementing the County General Plan; |
| Monitoring CEQA for County and State (lead agency); and |
| Assisting in land use litigation
