What maps are available on-line?
The Community Development Department is involved in many different activities and projects which have a mapping component to them. The General Plan Land Use Map is available on-line which displays the Land Use Designations throughout the County. The Mapping Archives provides a central location to find and view some of the maps generated by the Community Development Department in the past.  You can use CCMap, on-line GIS based mapping tool, to look-up information by address or assessor parcel number.

I want to build something new or add on to an existing structure, what do I do?
If you want to build in an unincorporated area of Contra Costa County, click here to view the County's Building Permit Process and County's Permitting Departments.

What materials can I recycle or reuse locally?
There are a wide range of materials that can be either recycled or reused in Contra Costa County.  For specific information visit our Waste Reduction & Recycling Pages or call the County Recycling Hotline at 1-800-750-4096.
