What is CoCoMAX?
CoCoMAX is a FREE service designed to match the discards of businesses and other entities in Contra Costa County with potential users.  Any business, nonprofit group, or government agency can list materials they have available or would like to acquire.  Listings are updated regularly.

When should you use CoCoMAX?
List items that you no longer need ("Available")
Search for things you need ("Wanted") 

How to search CoCoMAX...
CoCoMAX allows you to search in three different ways so that you can search locally or throughout the state.  It also allows you to specify if you want to view listings of items that are "Wanted", "Available" or "Both" as well as "Free", "Charge" or "Both". 

1. Keyword -  Enter word like "bucket" or "furniture" to see all listings within Contra Costa County matching your search word.  
   

2. Regional Search - Search for materials wanted or available throughout the State or you can specify a smaller region by entering maximum number of miles and a zip code.
   

3. Category Search - Search for materials wanted or available using the following Categories:

• Construction
• Containers
• Durable goods
• Electronics
• Glass
• Metal
• Miscellaneous materials
• Organics
• Paint/wax
• Pallets
• Paper
• Plastic
• Rubber
• Textiles
• Wood

Then just contact the name specified in the listing and make arrangements for the exchange.
