LAND USE PERMIT 
(LUP 2054-92, as amended by LP 022026)

Contra Costa County originally approved Land Use Permit (LUP 2054-92) and related Conditions of Approval for the Bulk Materials Processing Center (BMPC) in 1993 to allow establishment of bulk materials processing and recovery operations at the West Contra Costa Sanitary Landfill [ Map of Site & Vicinity ].   In December 2004, the County approved an amendment (LP 022026) to this Land Use Permit to allow proposed expansion of materials processing and recovery operations.  Portions of this site are within the incorporated area and therefore governed under a similar Conditional Use Permit approved by the City of Richmond in November 2004.
