The Contra Costa County Community Development Department is involved in an ongoing project analyzing and mapping the geographic characteristics of CalWORK's clients. Elements in the analysis and mapping project include:
Several maps were created as a part of this project. Topical maps included Transit and Employment, Children and CalWORKs and a Welfare to Work Overview map. These maps were prepared as part of an interdepartmental agreement between Community Development and the Employment and Human Services Department. If your department is interested in similar data analyses and mapping, Community Development staff are available to discuss the terms of interdepartmental agreements for our mapping and analyses services.
