Project Description

Bridge Work:  Replace existing timber structure by staged construction with new nine-span structure with three cast-in-place post tensioned concrete box girder spans and six spans of precast prestressed concrete I- girders on reinforced concrete caps all supported by cast-in-steel-shell concrete piling or pipe piling.  The new structure will be 263 meters long and vary in width from 13.9m to 17.4 m.  Install utility conduits and decorative lighting.  Remove existing timber structure with concrete deck (8.5 m x 140 m).

Road Work:  New hot mix asphalt roadway construction on embankments varying to 5.5m in height to finish road grade, storm drain (pipe and structures), concrete curb/sidewalk/ditch, rock slope protection, sheet piling, guard railing, sanitary sewer (pipe and structures), geogrid, joint trench (electric, phone, and cable), signing and striping.
