Emergency Services
Overview
The Sheriff's Office of Emergency Services (OES) is responsible for:
  • Disaster preparedness
  • Response and recovery planning

OES coordinates information, resources, and priorities among County agencies, local governments, and special districts. OES serves as a link between the Governor's Office of Emergency Services and the County's cities and special districts.

In the event of an emergency or disaster, OES coordinates communications and resources among responding agencies, and facilitates cost-recovery coordination with state and federal agencies.

Mutual Aid
Mutual Aid is responsible for planning and coordinating all activities involving the Sheriff's Emergency Services Program as it applies to Law Enforcement Mutual aid and reports directly to the Office of Emergency Services Commander.

It is distinguished from other Planner classifications in that it deals strictly with law enforcement emergency planning and serves as a liaison with other government agencies involved in the planning for Emergency Response.
