July 26, 2011: Board of Supervisors Approves Redistricting Map Proposal
The Board of Supervisors approved
Map Proposal 17 D Amended on a 3-2 vote as the proposed new supervisorial district boundaires. On Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 10:00 am the Board of Supervisors will conduct a
public hearing to consider adoption of an ordinance establishing the approved map as the new supervisorial district boundaries. The following provides map and data for the approved redistricting proposal.

Board of Supervisors adopted the Redistricting Work Program
March 8, 2011
US Census Bureau released the 2010 Redistricting Data
(P.L. 94-171 Summary File).

March 24, 2010
2010 Census Population estimates by 2001 Supervisorial Districts published.
County publishes 2010 Census Data on CCMAP, the County's online mapping tool.
March - April, 2011
Department of Conservation and Development staff will review new geography and data. Staff will prepare draft map alternatives based on the population data. It will require a minimum of 5-6 weeks to complete this process.
May 3, 2011
Provide the Board of Supervisors with an update to review and confirm draft map alternatives and confrim the schedule for public workshops/meetings.

Board of Supervisors meeting: Follow-up to the Board of Supervisors to confirm draft map alternatives and confrim the schedule for public workshops/meetings.
Mid to late May, 2011
Staff conducted Public Workshops in each Supervisorial District to review redistricting process, present map alternatives, and provide opportunity for public comments. Please note: A new workshop has been added in Lafayette on Wednesday, June 1st.
June 28th, 2011: Board of Supervisors Public Hearing
The Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, June 28th at 1 pm
to consider a report of Redistricting Map Proposals for County Supervisorial Districts based on 2010 Census data and public input received to date, and to consider approving a Redistricting Map proposal as the basis for an Ordinance to establish the decennial redistricting plan which adjust the supervisorial district boundaries for Contra Costa County.
