The Environmental Services Division ensures all Public Works, Flood Control District and Capital projects comply with applicable environmental laws and regulations. Staff is responsible for writing public disclosure documents for CEQA and NEPA, obtaining regulatory permits from resources agencies when needed, coordinating with Public Works engineers to reduce the environmental impacts of projects where feasible and coordinating the implementation of mitigation measures when required.
