Welcome From John
Hello and welcome to the District 1 website. I hope you find this site helpful for learning about our community, the projects we are working on, how we can serve you, and where to find resources in Contra Costa County. (Click here for my most recent bio.)
I'm honored to serve West County residents. Working with others, I'm committed to address issues such as affordable housing, homelessness, violence prevention, environmental justice, public transportation, air quality, SF Bay quality, access to quality health care, and out-of-school enrichment for youth.
I grew up in West County and have served on the Board of Supervisors since 1999.
District One includes the cities of Richmond, San Pablo, El Cerrito, part of Pinole, and the unincorporated communities of East Richmond Heights, El Sobrante, Kensington, Montalvin Manor, Tara Hills, North Richmond, and Rollingwood. (District Map and County's GIS mapping tool.)
