Welcome from John
Hello and welcome to the District 1 website. I hope you find this site helpful for learning about our community, how we can serve you, and where to find information and resources in Contra Costa County.

I'm committed to supporting the wonderful people of this area. My goal is to address our most serious concerns including employment, public safety, education, public health, transportation, and access to health care. I grew up in West County and have served on the Board of Supervisors since my election in 1998.

District One includes the cities of Richmond, San Pablo, El Cerrito, and the unincorporated communities of East Richmond Heights, El Sobrante, Kensington, Montalvin Manor, North Richmond, and Rollingwood. (District Map.)
